Pastor Allen Johnson

Lead Pastor — Allen Johnson

Pastor Allen Johnson came to Zoar Church in August 2018 after a distinguished career as a teacher and coach at Sumter High School. In retirement, God placed a clear call on his life to shepherd this little country church — and he answered with faithfulness and humility.

Since then, Pastor Allen has led Zoar with a steady hand and a Spirit-led heart, guiding the congregation in worship, discipleship, and community outreach. His church family continues to lift him in prayer as the Holy Spirit leads him and those God has entrusted to his pastoral care.

Lee and Tina Newman

Lee Newman, Trustee and Tina Newman his wife listened to Gods voice calling them to lead our Youth Group. They both have so much Love for our Teens here at Church. They have been active in teaching their Sunday School Class, and getting them involved in community missions that the church supports. This couple encourages that this group go out together to events that are spiritually uplifting, having fellowship together, encouraging them throughout the week through sharing of scripture and prayer. These young people will be going off soon and it is so important to give them the foundation they need to keep faithful to the Savior Jesus Christ as they start their adult life. Lee and Tina take their service to these young people seriously.
